Production Manager – Manufacturing Sector

Location: Outside Omagh, Co. Tyrone
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 (Dependent on Experience) + Benefits

The Opportunity

As Production Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day production operation, ensuring the team consistently delivers against safety, quality, productivity, cost, and delivery targets.

You will lead a skilled production team while working closely with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to identify opportunities, resolve challenges, and continuously improve the operation.

Key Responsibilities

As Production Manager, you will oversee the full production function, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing day-to-day production activities to ensure output, quality, and efficiency targets are consistently achieved.
• Leading, coaching, and developing production teams while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Driving lean manufacturing initiatives, focusing on waste reduction, process optimisation, and cost efficiency.
• Managing production planning and scheduling to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines.
• Monitoring KPIs and operational performance metrics, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards and promoting a strong safety culture across the site.
• Working closely with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to resolve issues and improve operational performance.
• Managing production budgets, resources, and staffing levels to maximise efficiency.
• Maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
• Leading root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to resolve production challenges.
• Supporting new product introductions and ensuring seamless integration into manufacturing processes.
• Championing continuous improvement projects and encouraging innovation across the production function.
• Providing regular performance updates and strategic recommendations to senior management.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience as a Production Manager or in a similar senior production leadership role within a pharmaceutical or highly regulated manufacturing environment.
• A strong track record of leading, developing, and motivating production teams.
• Demonstrable experience improving productivity, quality, efficiency, and operational performance.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Solid knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
• A proactive approach and the confidence to challenge existing processes and identify better ways of working.
