MPA Recruitment is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of the Northern Health & Social Care Trust for a Finance Analyst to join the Financial Management Team based in Ballymena. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to develop their career within a large public sector organisation while supporting the delivery of essential healthcare services across Northern Ireland.

As a Finance Analyst, you will support the delivery of an effective Financial Management Service, helping budget holders and senior managers make informed financial decisions. You will play a key role in budget monitoring, financial reporting, variance analysis and financial planning activities across the Trust.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of budgetary control systems
  • Prepare and process budget adjustments and financial information
  • Produce regular financial reports and management information
  • Support monthly budget monitoring and variance analysis
  • Liaise with budget managers to review financial performance
  • Assist with financial investigations, reviews and special projects
  • Support monthly and year-end financial management procedures
  • Contribute to the development of financial policies and procedures
  • Provide financial information to support decision making across directorates

Essential Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following:

4 years' relevant finance experience

OR

Accounting Technician qualification (ATI or equivalent Level 5) plus 2 years' relevant finance experience

OR

Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Information Technology or a related discipline

  • Applicants must also hold a full UK driving licence and have access to transport.

  • Experience interpreting and presenting financial data
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Hours and Pay

  • Monday- Friday 
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • £15.88 per hour
  • Weekly Pay
  • Holiday Fund
