Senior Data Analyst
About the Role:
MPA Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our public sector client for a Band 6 Senior Data Analyst based in Belfast.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced data professional to support the delivery of high-quality information services within a busy healthcare environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in analysing and validating complex data, ensuring the accuracy and quality of information, and supporting informed decision-making across the organisation.
Working closely with colleagues and stakeholders, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of data quality, reporting processes and information assurance while supporting service delivery through effective data management and analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse, validate and interpret complex datasets to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Produce accurate reports and data analysis to support service delivery and performance monitoring.
- Ensure the quality, integrity and accuracy of information through validation and quality assurance processes.
- Support the development and continuous improvement of information systems and reporting processes.
- Present data and findings in a clear and meaningful format for a range of stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver high-quality information solutions.
- Maintain high standards of confidentiality and data governance in line with organisational policies.
- Contribute to service improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance data quality and reporting practices.
What We’re Looking for?
Essential Criteria
Applicants must have:
- A University degree (or equivalent recognised qualification) in Computer Science or a related discipline.
OR
- A degree containing a substantial computing or data management component.
- Experience working with Microsoft Excel, including analysing and manipulating data.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to interpret, validate and present complex information.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
