Whether you're a newly qualified graduate looking for your first professional role or have previous procurement or purchasing experience, this is an excellent opportunity to join a busy NHS procurement team, develop your skills and gain valuable public sector experience.

Your Role
As an Assistant Procurement Officer, you'll support the Trust's procurement team to ensure the efficient purchasing of goods and services.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with purchasing activities across a wide range of goods and services.
- Processing purchase orders and procurement documentation.
- Liaising with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries.
- Maintaining accurate procurement records and databases.
- Monitoring deliveries and resolving invoice or order discrepancies.
- Supporting tendering and contract administration activities.
- Ensuring procurement processes comply with Trust policies and public sector regulations.
What We're Looking For
We welcome applications from both newly qualified and experienced candidates.
You should have:
- A qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Finance or another relevant discipline.
OR
- Previous experience in procurement, purchasing or a busy administrative environment.
You'll also have:
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
