Information & System Manager – Band 5

 

MPA Recruitment are keen to hear from applicants with an IT background for a full time Information & System Manager position within the Northern Health & Social Care Trust. Based in Ballymoney the post holder will be responsible for the management of the system(s) ensuring that the system(s) is maintained to meet the needs of users/departments and in line with Trust operational polices and Departmental guidelines for definitions and data standards. The Information & Systems Manager will also play a key role in the provision of quality information to a range of users and provide specialist advice in the use of information and information systems and in the extraction, analysis, interpretation and presentation of data.

 

The post holder will be expected to:

·           Fulfil all the day-to-day aspects of the system manager role;

·           Have a high level of expertise in reporting from systems;

·           Have a full understanding of the processes operating in the business area within which the systems reside;

·           Keep abreast of policy changes impacting on the operation of the systems and identify consequent systems changes;

·           Participate fully as a member of project team(s) charged with implementations and/or improvement of information processes.

 

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

 

Degree in an ICT Discipline, Mathematics, Business Studies, Finance or other discipline where there is an element of Information or ICT

AND

1 years’ experience in Information / Information Systems1

 

OR

HND/HNC in an ICT Discipline, Mathematics, Business Studies, Finance or other discipline where there is an element of Information or ICT

AND

2 years’ experience in Information / Information Systems1

 

OR

4 years’ experience in Information / Information Systems1

 

In addition to above applicants must possess:

GCSE English Language and Mathematics (Grade A-C)

 

AND

 

2 years practical experience in a working environment of the Microsoft Office suite of programmes (or equivalent), such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access,Outlook
