Finance Team Leader

MPA Ballymena are currently working alongside NHSCT to recruit a Finance Team Leader- Band 4

​The post holder will assist in the day to day operation and supervision, including staff management, of the Financial Controls team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy, and issue of, applicable invoices in respect of rent, rates, accommodation charges, pharmacy supplies, private patients

  • Ensure a central register of all charges is maintained and kept up to date, liaising with relevant internal staff as necessary

  • Assist in the oversight of debt writes offs including the processing of paperwork and updating of controls

  • Ensure applicable receipts and payments are processed, ensuring adherence and maintenance of associated controls, as necessary.

  • Assist with year end process, as necessary, including the production of the Losses Statement and other applicable analysis

  • Monitor and supervise staff, ensuring that all work is accurately performed, up to date, and completed in a timely manner.

  • Ensure that all tasks and functions relevant to the post are maintained on an ongoing basis throughout the financial year, thus facilitating the completion of month end functions, annual accounts and returns, as necessary

  • Participate in, and assist, the development, implementation and maintenance of financial systems, controls and reports, both automated and manual.

Qualifications / Experience Required

  • Demonstrate 3 years relevant* finance experience.

OR

  • Certificate for Accounting Technicians (ATI) or equivalent (QCF Level 4) with 1 years relevant* finance experience.

Essential

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Hold a current drivers licence and have access to a car

  • Knowledge and understanding of the key finance issues within Health and Social Care.

Hours and Pay

  • 37.5 hours per week

  • Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

  • £12.86- Weekly Pay
