MPA Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced Cooks to work within Nursing Homes across Ballymena, Larne, Antrim and Whiteabbey.

This flexible role offers as and when shifts from Monday to Sunday. You can choose the shifts that suit your availability.

What You Will Be Doing

• Preparing and cooking nutritious meals for residents
• Following planned menus and individual dietary requirements
• Catering for allergies, modified diets and special dietary needs
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
• Monitoring food temperatures and completing kitchen records
• Ensuring food is prepared and served safely and on time
• Working alongside nursing home staff to provide a high quality meal service

What We Are Looking For

• Previous experience working as a Cook
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety
• Ability to work independently within a busy kitchen
• A reliable and flexible approach to work
• Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable
• Previous experience within a nursing home or healthcare setting is desirable
• Willingness to complete an Enhanced Access NI check at a cost of £32
