MPA Recruitment Ballymena is recruiting a Catering Assistant on behalf of our client within a hospital setting in the Ballymena area.

The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of a high quality catering service, supporting food preparation, food service and maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and food safety.

• £12.71 per hour
• 32.5 hours per week
• Monday to Sunday rota
• Weekly pay
• Holiday fund

What You Will Be Doing

• Assisting with food service and plating meals for patients, clients and staff
• Preparing vegetables, fruit, salads and beverages
• Replenishing food supplies as required
• Carrying out general cleaning duties within the kitchen, canteen and associated areas
• Following departmental food safety and hygiene procedures
• Ensuring correct procedures are followed for the receipt, storage and regeneration of meals
• Monitoring and maintaining appropriate food temperatures
• Following procedures relating to cook freeze and cook chill meals

What We Are Looking For

• Previous catering experience is desirable but not essential
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable
• Candidates without this qualification must be willing to complete the required training
• Ability to work effectively as part of a busy catering team
• Good awareness of hygiene and food safety standards
• Reliable and able to work across a Monday to Sunday rota
