Band 3 Finance Officer
Finance Officer (Band 3) – Downpatrick
MPA Recruitment is working in partnership with the local Health and Social Care Trust to recruit a Band 3 Finance Officer based in the Downpatrick area.
As a Finance Officer, you will provide essential administrative support across a variety of settings within the Finance & Estates Directorate of the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will be expected to use your initiative and contribute to the efficient delivery of financial services.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of administrative and financial duties, including:
- Contributing to the Trust's overall Financial Governance Framework.
- Processing financial information in accordance with established policies, procedures, and timescales.
- Investigating and responding to queries from a range of stakeholders, providing support and information to both finance and non-finance staff.
- Maintaining and assisting with reconciliations of control accounts.
- Supporting compliance with Public Sector Prompt Payment Policy.
- Providing administrative support to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the Finance & Estates Department.
Essential Criteria
Applicants must possess either:
- 4 GCSEs (Grades A–C), including English and Mathematics (or equivalent), plus at least 1 year's relevant experience;
OR
- A minimum of 2 years' relevant experience.
In addition, candidates must have:
- ECDL qualification or substantial experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel (or equivalent).
Hours of Work
- Monday to Friday
- 9:00am – 5:00pm
