Toronto (hybrid)

 

MPA has been retained by a leading accountancy and consultancy firm in search of an accomplished Tax Manager to bolster their dynamic team in Toronto.

In the capacity of Tax Manager, you will assume a pivotal leadership role, spearheading critical engagements and contributing significantly to the firm's continued growth and success.

 

A typical day will include:

·       Conducting Comprehensive Tax Return Assessments: Diligently reviewing corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns with meticulous attention to detail.

·       Strategic Tax Planning and Advisory: Proactively identifying strategic planning opportunities and providing insightful recommendations to clients, aimed at optimizing tax compliance and minimizing exposure.

·       Collaborative Leadership: Collaborating closely with esteemed partners, principals, and senior managers across diverse client portfolios and projects.

·       Mentoring and Empowering Team Members: Taking an active role in coaching and fostering the growth of fellow team members, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

Requirements:

·       Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Designation

·       Completion of or enrollment in the In-Depth Tax Course or a Master of Tax program

·       Accumulated a minimum of three years of professional experience in Canadian corporate tax

·       Bilingual proficiency in both French and English (Montreal Office Only)

·       Proficient in the interpretation and application of tax legislations

·       Highly skilled in tax research methods and proficient in utilizing tax databases

·       Demonstrates strong computer proficiency, particularly in Word and Excel
