Support Worker

Location: Omagh
Pay: £13.35 per hour
Hours: Flexible rota, including evenings, weekends and night duty
Contract: Permanent

We are currently recruiting for Support Workers to join a supportive and person-centred care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care and support based on individual needs and preferences.
• Assist with personal care while promoting dignity, choice and independence.
• Support individuals with daily living activities, including cooking, shopping, cleaning and household tasks.
• Assist with medication and maintain accurate records in line with policies and procedures.
• Support individuals to attend healthcare appointments and access community, social, leisure and educational activities.
• Follow safeguarding and positive behaviour support procedures.
• Contribute to individual care and support plans.
• Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming living environment.
• Build positive relationships with individuals, families, colleagues and other professionals.

Essential Criteria

• At least 2 years' experience in a care or support role.
• Good literacy, numeracy and computer skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use initiative and work effectively as part of a team.
• Calm, patient, respectful and approachable manner.
• Willingness to work a flexible rota, including weekends, unsocial hours and nights.
• Commitment to person-centred care and supporting individual choice and independence.

Desirable: NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care or an equivalent qualification and a full clean driving licence.
