MPA Healthcare are recruiting Support Workers on Behalf of our Client Apex housing. These roles will be based in the Derry/Londonderry , Strabane and Limavady areas. This role will be within Supported Living Schemes, Housing with Care Facilities and various other settings.
Job Role(s)
Assist in ensuring the well-being of service users by providing a comfortable, safe and healthy environment and in the promotion of the service to visitors, friends and in the community.
Provide supervision and maintain the comfort, privacy and dignity of service users at all times.
Assist in the provision and monitoring of group activities aimed at engaging service users.
Create detailed shift reports using database programmes.
Escalate issues to senior staff member in charge and document incidents in accordance with local policy.
Essential Criteria:
At least 6 months recent experience in a similar Healthcare / Support role.
Previous experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities or mental health issues.
Willing to undertake an enhanced disclosure.
Flexible with good communication.
Must be registered with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) or be willing to process registration.
