Catering Assistant | Healthcare Setting

MPA Recruitment is currently recruiting a Catering Assistant to work within a busy healthcare environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable individual who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in delivering a high-quality catering service.

About the Role

As a Catering Assistant, you will support the day-to-day operation of the catering department, helping to prepare and serve meals while maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and customer care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and service of meals, snacks, and refreshments.
• Ensure food is prepared, handled, and served in accordance with food safety regulations.
• Set up and clear dining and serving areas.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout kitchen and food service areas.
• Replenish food stocks, beverages, and catering supplies.
• Follow all Food Hygiene, HACCP, Health & Safety, and COSHH procedures.
• Provide a friendly and professional service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Hours & Pay

• Full-time and part-time opportunities available.
• Various shift patterns available, including weekdays and weekends.
• Weekly pay.

• Ongoing temporary opportunities with potential for extension.

What We're Looking For

• Previous catering, hospitality, kitchen, or food service experience is desirable.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Food Hygiene Certificate is advantageous but not essential.
