​Job Role: Assistant Procurement Officer

MPA are currently recruiting an Assistant Procurement Officer for our public service client based in Belfast.

Location – Belfast

Hours of Work – Monday – Friday 37.5 hours a week.

Salary - £11.67 per hour

KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Purchasing goods and services in accordance with HSCNI procedures to achieve value for money.

• Liaising with and providing assistance to customers on procurement matters

• Operating a PC and computer systems to facilitate the delivery of a procurement service.

• Resolving invoice queries in conjunction with HSCNI shared services to ensure prompt payment of suppliers.

• liaising with BSO PaLS colleagues in all PaLS sites on procurement related matters including the participation in groups (if required)

• Any other duties as required within the Band of the post.

Essential Experience:

A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade A-C to include Mathematics and English OR relevant NVQ Level 2 or GNVQ qualification plus 1 year’s relevant experience**

OR

Two (2) years relevant work-based experience**.

**Relevant experience should be within a general commercial/business environment and could include customer service, retail, clerical, and/or administration work.

Desirable Criteria

1. Demonstrate knowledge of a purchasing and supply and/or finance related computerised and e-commerce systems.

2. Be studying or be prepared to study for a relevant professional qualification.
