Job Title: Applications Support Analyst - 3668

On behalf of our Client, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, MPA Recruitment welcomes suitable applications for the role of Applications Support Analyst in the Belfast Area.

Location: Adelaide Street, Belfast

Hours of work: Monday to Friday (9am-5pm)

Salary range: £14.91

Your Duties:

• To assist in the support, operation and maintenance of Corporate and Line of Business (LOB) application infrastructure through incident resolution, service request fulfilment and completion of scheduled IT Operations tasks

• Liaise with the Corporate and LOB system suppliers and the Strategic IT Partner (IT Assist) and other external partners in the delivery of Application Support & Operations services.

• Participation in the provision of Application Support & Operations services to the key stakeholders and customers internally and externally.

• Assist in the provision of Application Support & Operations helpdesk and customer support services.

• Project participation extending to application configuration, testing, training and associated activities to develop application knowledge and familiarity as a precursor to the provision of subsequent application support.

• Contribute to the acceptance into live service/support for new systems and applications, systems transferring into IT, extensions to existing systems, system upgrades and new operations functions.

IT Application Support & Operations

• Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of procedures, standards and policies for the delivery of IT Support and Operations services.

• The preparation and maintenance of documentation in respect of Housing Executive IT Support & Operations policy, procedures and good practice.

• Identify the potential opportunities and efficiencies for the organisation as a consequence of new developments in IT within a Strategy framework and action plan.

• Actively participate in all aspects of stakeholder engagement, consultation and communications for IT Support & Operations service development.

• Participation in relevant conferences, seminars and external meetings.

Your Profile:

Applicants must provide evidence by the closing date for application that they meet the following essential criteria:

1. Candidates should possess either.

Possess HNC / NVQ Level 4 or other equivalent level qualification (Level 4*).

It will be the responsibility of the applicant to demonstrate equivalency.

*Refer to Qualifications Framework for equivalencies.

OR

Can demonstrate at least 2 years relevant experience (through workplace or education) within a Digital, Customer Support or IT environment within last 5 years.

2. Can demonstrate:

• Ability to manage own time and work accurately under pressure to meet deadlines.

• Excellent planning and organisational skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Candidates will be assessed against the relevant section of the Housing Executive’s Behavioural Framework.

Desirable

1. Knowledge and experience of working within an IT Support environment.

2. Can demonstrate significant relevant experience working at various stages of the IT systems lifecycle (e.g. planning / requirements capture / design / development / testing / deployment / maintenance / support).

3. Can demonstrate significant relevant experience in various aspects of an IT application / technical support role, such as:

• Participation in IT operations functions

• Supplier and user collaboration and co-ordination

Technical support of end-user devices e.g. Desktops, Laptops & Tablets

Additional Information:

• A Basic Access NI Check is Required at a cost of £16.

• Full time, Temporary, 13-week contract initially.
