Livability is a charity that's committed to enabling people with disabilities to live the life they want to lead.
We have day and night shifts available with the hourly rate ranging from £11.50 - £15.00.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support individuals in maintaining a clean and safe living environment
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding if necessary
- Support individuals in participating in recreational activities and community outings
- Document and report any changes in behaviour or health status to the appropriate supervisor
- Follow individualised care plans and provide support based on the specific needs of each individual
Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Knowledge of person-centred care principles and practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with disabilities, their families, and other team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle challenging situations with patience and empathy.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
