Sr. Auditor
Leading Accounting and Consulting Firm
Toronto (hybrid)
MPA has been retained by a leading Accounting and Consulting firm HQ’d in Montreal. To recruit a Senior External Auditor to join their Toronto team.
As a Sr. External Auditor, you will be playing a pivotal role in helping lead engagements.
A typical day will include:
· Working closely with managers and partners to complete audit, review and NTR engagements.
· Ensure that all engagement activities are completed in accordance with the Firm’s policies and procedures and that all queries and issues are satisfactorily resolved.
· Preparing complete working paper (analytical review, evaluation of evidence and conclusion), small working paper files, financial statements and notes, corporate, trust and personal tax returns.
· Lead field engagement teams, coaching and mentoring junior team members.
· Prepare engagement budgets and monitor efficiencies.
What you need:
· Passed CFE exam or have CPA Canada / US.
· A minimum of 18 months of relevant experience within an audit/accounting firm.
· Experience with Audit, Review and Notice to Reader engagements in a variety of Industries
· Experience with various software (MS Office, Caseware, Tax Prep).
· Strong communication skills in English.
