​Job Role: - Senior Graphic Designer

MPA are recruiting for Senior Graphic Designer on behalf of our client based in the Belfast area.

Our client is Northern Ireland’s leading independent publishing, exhibition, and events company.

Established in 1994 the company has a varied and highly successful brand portfolio across print, digital, conference, exhibitions, and events. During 2020/21, our client has pivoted to be a digital first business.

We are on the lookout for a talented Senior Graphic Designer to join our creative team. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of design, with the ability to vary style and layouts depending on the project.

The role is varied and provides the opportunity to work in many different sectors such as food, drink, hospitality, petroleum, convenience, retailing, supermarket, independent retailing, veterinary and the consumer side of fashion, weddings, tourism and leisure.

Having undergone a major transformation to digital first, you’ll get the chance to showcase your expertise in creating digital assets for our multimedia and digital communication needs.

Location: Belfast

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (37.5 hours per week) this will be 3 days in the office and 2 from home. Weekends may be need as per needs of the business.

Salary: - £30-£34k per annum plus bonus opportunities.

More specifically, you’ll get to:

•Design on-brand creative solutions for a variety of uses websites, digital magazines, email campaigns, social media graphics, brand campaigns, and event and exhibition graphics.

•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver designs that are creative, useful, and align with our various in-house brands.

Requirements:

•A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role

•Bachelor's degree in digital design, graphic design, or a related field.

•Proven experience in a professional digital design role

•A portfolio of previous digital design work to showcase experience and creativity

•Solid knowledge of design software programs, including Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator

•Working knowledge of core Microsoft programmes, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc

•Positive, can-do attitude, driven and committed.

•Ability to clearly present design ideas and concepts for campaigns and projects

•A team player with exceptional organizational and technical skills

•Ability to work across a broad range of industries and meet publishing deadlines

Nice to have:

•Knowledge of WordPress and content management systems a plus

•Experience using Adobe Premier Pro and After Effects

•Assist with website content management, maintenance, and advertising.
