MPA is delighted to be working with our client who is Northern Ireland’s leading independent publishing, exhibition, and events company, to recruit a Sales Manager based in the Belfast area.

Our client is experiencing continual demand within the industry, making it an exceptional time to join a well-established business. This is a dynamic role and presents great opportunities for long-term career development.

Location: Belfast

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (37.5 hours per week) this will be 3 days in the office and 2 from home. Weekends may be need as per needs of the business.

Salary: - £45k-£50K per annum and excellent career prospects.

Our brands have many digital and face to face assets- magazines, weekly e-newsletters, web, social, gala awards dinners, and exhibitions.

This is an exciting, hands-on position with lots of room to grow and develop.

The company is now ‘Digital First’, and we are now implementing a growth plan across the business.

This is a top-drawer position and offers an excellent renumeration and benefits package, including hybrid working.

Purpose of job:

• To be responsible for the annual advertising sales and sponsorship budget

• Generating digital, print and sponsorship revenues for new and existing brands.

• To achieve agreed sales targets

• To identify and develop new business from the core target market as well as new business sectors.

• To build relationships and develop existing client base.

• To prepare high quality proposals and client correspondence

• Be a create thinker and be able to generate new business ideas.

• To develop and deliver quality presentations to clients.

• To contribute to the strategic development of the Penton Media Group business

• To have a finger on the pulse of developments in media and commercial advertising sectors plus the wider business marketplace.

• To coach, train, encourage and motivate other members of the sales team.

Experience Required:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in media sales or a similar direct sales environment.

• Proven track record of success in a competitive sales environment

• Proven experience of prospecting and delivering new business.

• Good reporting and presentation skills.

The successful candidate will be target driven, a self-starter, proactive, creative, good at building relationships and passionate about selling media for a leading Irish Media Group.

Development and progression within the company is a realistic goal within a short period of time for the successful candidate.
