MPA have been recently appointed by a leading preventative healthcare clinic to recruit for a Registered Nurse to join their client’s team in Vancouver.

The client is a leading multidisciplinary practice that has grown significantly in recent years. They focus on comprehensive healthcare programs that are adopted to provide a preventative approach to disease, ultimately leading to patients living healthier, happier lives.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in seamless client care and an integral part of chronic disease management & preventative healthcare. Acting as a health advocates & champions providing health coaching to support, motivate and facilitate healthy change. N. They are an integral part of chronic disease management and preventive healthcare.

This role is an in-clinic position in downtown Vancouver. Hours are between 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday with no stat holidays.

Responsibilities

·       Provide clinical nursing, client education, and be the first resource for health-related questions and clinical care.

·       Document the medical history and lifestyle profile for new clients and educate them on available services.

·       Provide recommendations for specific care tracks.

·       Understand each client’s health plan and work proactively alongside clinical colleagues to support and guide the client towards successful outcomes.

·       Educate clients on their treatment options, self-care techniques, and triage as needs arise.

·       Coordinate client care and follow-up with the physician, including initiating medications, postsurgical follow-ups, prenatal/postpartum care, chronic disease management, and connecting clients to services in the community.

·       Perform general nursing duties including well baby checks, immunizations, injections, travel medicine, and physician procedural assistance.

·       Create and implement protocols as necessary (i.e. health & safety guidelines, emergency management etc.)

Requirements:

·       Bachelor’s Degree (BScN or BN) from a recognized nursing program

·       Current practicing registration with British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwifes (BCCNM)

·       Current CPR C Certification

·       Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate (BC)

·       At least 2 years of clinical, primary care experience

The salary range is between $44 - $54 per hour alongside leading professional development allowances, extended health benefits and RRSP match.
