$43.170 to $56.77 per hour

MPA Recruitment has been retained by a leading hospital and care complex to recruit a Pharmacist to join their team. Our client is a leading hospital organization based in the Thunder Bay region, specialising in Patient and Family Centred Care.

Under the general supervision of the Manager Pharmacy, the Pharmacist is part of a team dedicated to practicing direct patient centered care in a specialty outpatient pharmacy.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy and/or Doctorate of Pharmacy

  • Current registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (Part A)

  • Completion of an accredited hospital pharmacy residency, preferred

  • 3 - 5 years experience in community pharmacy setting, with preference to oncology practice

  • Experience in working with Kroll, third party billings, point of sale systems, Mosaiq and Meditech

  • Experience working with and handling cytotoxic medications

  • Experience in narcotic and controlled drug inventory procedures

  • Previous hospital experience and or including oncology practice , an asset

  • Completion of Essentials of Oncology or Advanced Oncology for Pharmacists an asset

  • Effective interpersonal , organizational, and verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative practice setting

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment,

  • Strong clinical skills in identifying and solving drug therapy problems

  • Motivated self learner, who seeks and evaluates learning opportunities to enhance patient care and continuously strives to maintain lifelong learning
