MPA are delighted to recruit Kitchen Assistants on behalf of one of our established clients in the Garvagh area. These shifts will be based in a care home setting and shift time will be 8am-6pm and the role will be on a temporary ongoing basis.

Job Duties

• Ensure all food preparation areas are clean and hygienic.
• Ensuring all utensils and dishes are washed correctly and ensure they are stored appropriately.
• Sorting, storing and distributing ingredients.
• Preparing and cooking food
• Correct disposal of waste/rubbish
• Cleaning food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas
• Checking and recording food temperatures

Essential Criteria

• Previous experience working within a kitchen environment
• Willingness to undergo Access NI clearance
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts to suit the needs of the client including weekends
• A great team player

Desirable Criteria

• Basic food hygiene qualification
