Job description

MPA Recruitment is working exclusively on behalf of a growing HealthTech business headquartered in Northern Ireland to source an iOS Developer to join their team. This is an established, state-of-the-art business creating medical training & simulation software used by medical professionals worldwide.

In this role, you will be making a positive impact in the medical sector and will be empowered to design, direct and implement creative apps. You will work closely with others in the development team coordinating with the medical/clinical and technical teams to provide guidance. You will drive the development of new functionality and will create the product road map essential to the creation and development of the applications. You will explore new technologies that can be used in the products; suggest and implement improvements to the current app products; help with planning and scoping releases; ensure good coding practices; and integrate technologies.

You should have at least 2 years’ practical experience developing iOS apps (Swift) and a strong desire to learn new skills and technologies. You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work unsupervised; strong opinions on what goes into making a good mobile apps around areas such as performance, security and usability; and a solid understanding of integrating with web services, e.g. RESTful APIs, login and authentication. You will have a good understanding of mobile UX, or the ability to work closely from a design or wireframe; working knowledge of Git; and you must be able to show your recent projects that you have been actively involved in.

This role has the flexibility to allow you to either work from the offices in Northern Ireland or England, or work completely remotely depending on where you are living.
