Job Role: Information Systems Analyst

The post holder will primarily be responsible for the management, administration, and analysis of RQIA information systems which includes:

•Supporting the delivery of RQIA’s Information and ICT Strategy and annual implementation schedules

•Supporting RQIA’s business functions by providing ICT enabled information management

•Acting as a central point of contact for RQIA information systems and databases

•Ensuring the availability of relevant, accurate, timely and comprehensive information to RQIA

•Designing, implementing, maintaining, and reporting from RQIA systems using technologies such as MS Access, MS SQL Server, MS Dynamics CRM and MS SharePoint.

•Supporting the Head of Information in a range of information management focused activities to accommodate the needs of internal and external stakeholders.

Location - Belfast

Hours of Work -37.5 Hours Per Week (Mon- Fri)

Salary £16.04 PH

KEY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

The post holder will be required to:

  • Take responsibility for his/her own ongoing learning and development, in order to maximise his/her potential and continue to meet the demands of the post.

  • Represent RQIA’s commitment to providing the highest possible standard of service to patients/clients and members of the public, by treating all those with whom he/she comes into contact in the course of work, in a pleasant, courteous and respectful manner.

Experience and Qualifications

1a. Relevant* degree or a recognised professional qualification or equivalent / higher qualification and 2 years’ experience in an ICT/Informatics environment where systems/business analysis and systems development were key responsibilities.

OR

1b. Relevant* HND / HNC or equivalent/ higher qualification and 3 years’ experience in an ICT/Informatics environment where systems/business analysis and systems development were key responsibilities

OR

1c. 5 years’ experience in an ICT/Informatics environment to include 3 years’ experience in an ICT/Informatics environment where systems/business analysis and systems development were key responsibilities.

2. Experience in carrying out data validation and cleansing.

3. Experience of participating in improvement programmes including leading in specific initiatives/projects.

4. Ability to manipulate and present highly complex and sensitive information in an easily understandable and usable format.

5. Possess excellent business process analysis skills and the ability to use tact and diplomacy in the interpretation and understanding of complex user requirements.

6. Excellent interpersonal and team working skills as well as ability to work on own initiative
