Leading Fertility Clinic

MPA have been recently appointed by a leading fertility clinic in Calgary to recruit for a Gynecologist to join their team. The client is a leader within reproductive medicine, providing patients with high-quality personalised fertility care. The clinic is independently owned and are accredited by Health Canada to provide Directed Donor services.

In this role as the Gynecologist , you will diagnose and treat both female and male patients experiencing fertility issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Evaluation and management of infertility patients including endometriosis, hormonal problems, male factor infertility, tubal factor infertility, ovulation problems, menstrual problems including bleeding abnormalities, polycystic ovarian syndrome, sexual disfunction, hypothalamic pituitary dysfunction and congenital adrenal hyperplasia.

Perform ultrasound scans for follicular and uterine assessment, and early pregnancy assessment.

Consult with patients regarding the best treatment options for their diagnosis.

Perform intrauterine insemination (IUI), ovum pickup (OPU/egg retrieval), and embryo transfer procedures.

Support women and their partners with the psychological and emotional effects of infertility and related treatment.

Maintain accurate and clear medical records.

To provide honest communication and feedback to patients and colleagues.

Take part in such research as is being conducted at the Clinic.

Be responsible for teaching medical students and residents associated with the facility.


Qualifications:

  • Have a current practice permit in Alberta and be recognized as a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology

  • Have sub-specialty recognition by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility or have international training and recognition in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility equivalent to that required for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

  • Have completed training in the administration and monitoring of IV sedation and provide an evaluation of skills acceptable to CPSA

  • Current ACLS training
