MPA have been retained by a leading private healthcare provider to recruit for a Nurse Practitioner for their children’s and youth team based in Vancouver.

The client is a leading multidisciplinary practice that has grown significantly in recent years. They focus on comprehensive healthcare programs that are adopted to provide a preventative approach to disease, ultimately leading to patients living healthier, happier lives. The clinic has a high practitioner, clinician, physician to patient ratio allowing practitioners to spend time with patients to deliver a quality care experience.


As a clinical leader, you will work alongside clinicians to focus on providing collaborative care. Teams are encouraged to share evidence-based information and educate one another with a goal of providing a world class caring service to clients.

In this role:

  • In-office patient care performing well visits, chronic care management, and episodic care.

  • Flexible schedules including virtual care appointments to support a balanced lifestyle.

  • Collaboration and shared learning meetings with clinical colleagues.

  • Use your clinical training and background for client care and to educate fellow clinicians during regular collaboration meetings.

  • Provide well baby and well child are, using evidence-based health guidelines for primary healthcare practitioners for ages 0 to 18 years.

  • Perform developmental and social-emotional screening in children aged 0 to 5 years.

  • Conduct a psychosocial interview of adolescents using the SSHADESS screening that is rooted in a strength-based approach and explores emotional well-being and adolescent risk behaviors.

  • Recognize and address the unique needs of the young adult population.

 

Qualifications and Criteria

  • Completion of the MN-NP program, Family Nurse Practitioner designation.

  • Current active registration with BCCNM (BC) or CRNA (AB).

  • Clinical experience in primary healthcare.

  • Experience working with children and youth.
