Job Description:
MPA Recruitment has been appointed by our local health and social care trust to recruit a Domestic Assistant to work with our client based in Daisy Hill Hospital. This position is an immediate start once checks are complete.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces.
- Utilise appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment to maintain hygiene standards.
- Ensure that all cleaning supplies are stocked and stored correctly.
- Follow health and safety protocols while carrying out cleaning duties.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with the organisation of cleaning schedules and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the facility.
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or within a hospital environment is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with staff and residents.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
There are a variety of shifts available Monday through to Sunday with approximately 35 hours per week.
