Job Description:

MPA Recruitment has been appointed by our local health and social care trust to recruit a Domestic Assistant to work with our client based in Daisy Hill Hospital. This position is an immediate start once checks are complete.

Duties

  • Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces.
  • Utilise appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Ensure that all cleaning supplies are stocked and stored correctly.
  • Follow health and safety protocols while carrying out cleaning duties.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with the organisation of cleaning schedules and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the facility.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in commercial cleaning or within a hospital environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices.
  • Good communication skills to interact effectively with staff and residents.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

There are a variety of shifts available Monday through to Sunday with approximately 35 hours per week.
