​Job Title: Community Development Support Officer - 3315

On behalf of our Client, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, MPA Recruitment welcomes suitable applications for the role of Community Development Support Officer in the Belfast Area.

Location: Adelaide Street, Belfast

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday: 09.00am to 5pm)

Salary range: £11.39

Your Duties:

This role and responsibilities for this post include:

1.Assist in the development and delivery of the Community Involvement Strategy and action Plan.

2.Support and oversee Central Housing Forum Youth Forum, Disability Forum, Rural Residents Forum and other associated Forums and wider Housing Community Network

3.Support and train area offices in relation to community grants, community workers and start up packs.

4.Provide advice & assistance to staff, managers, forum members and customers on community involvement activities.

5.Attend network working group meetings providing written updates and progress to Community Involvement Officer/Community Cohesion Management Team

6.Assist in the management and administration of Community Involvement Collaboration Portal

7.Work in partnership with Supporting Communities to deliver programmes within Community Involvement Strategy and Action Plan

8.Assist in the administration of funded Community Development Worker application and payments including compiling Letter of Offer, quarterly updates, payment requisition form, monitoring, and evaluation process.

9.Assist and support Community Involvement Officer to oversee and administer community grants through Salesforce platform.

10.Assist in the administration of the and ensure Government Funding Database is kept up to date at all times.

11.Support the Community Involvement Officer in the preparation and monitoring of HCN budgets, SLAs, and quarterly reporting framework.

12.Support the planning and delivery of community conference including assisting in compiling HCN annual report.

13.Support and assist the coordination and delivery of presentations both internally and externally to raise awareness of Community Involvement and its areas of work.

14.Maintain accurate records of all documents within existing systems.

15.Support individual requests for administration assistance from senior management.

Your Profile:

Candidates must provide experience by the closing date for the application that they meet the following essential criteria:

1. Applicants must possess

(i)B Tech Higher plus 1 years’ experience of Community Development or equivalent

Or

(ii)B Tech National plus 2 years’ experience of Community Development or equivalent

2.Demonstrate at least 1 years’ experience of:

(i)Using and maintain IT systems including Microsoft Office

(ii)communicating with customers and other stakeholders in a variety of ways to deliver a service

(iii)managing workloads within specified timescales

Candidates may also be assessed against the relevant section of the Housing Executive Behavioural Framework.

3.Possess a full current UK driving licence or have access to a form of transport that will permit the candidate to meet the requirements of the post in full.

•A Basic Access NI Check is required at a cost of £18.
