Job Description

As a Care Assistant, you will work under the guidance of nursing staff in a care home setting to assist patients with their daily needs, ensuring care is delivered safely, respectfully, and in a person-centred manner. This is a great opportunity for those seeking family friendly hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
• Support mobility and safe movement of patients around the facility
• Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and respiration
• Encourage independence by helping with daily tasks
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the wider care team
• Provide emotional support and companionship
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in patient areas
• Assist with the preparation and serving of meals and refreshments
• Follow infection control procedures and safeguarding policies
• Accurately update patient records under supervision
• Support clinical tasks as trained and delegated

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months paid experience in a care setting within the last 5 years
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health & Social Care (preferred)
• A caring, empathetic, and patient approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• High levels of reliability and professionalism
• Right to work in the UK
• NISCC registration
