MPA Recruitment are working in partnership with our major clients within the healthcare industry to recruit a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist in the Derry/Londonderry area. This is a full-time temporary role which will include working nights and weekends. This role will be based at Altnagelvin Hospital. We are keen to hear from qualified Biomedical Scientists as this is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your experience.

The ideal candidate must have:
· BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Science or a degree which has been approved for registration with the HCPC
· Be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) or eligible to register
AND
· at least one year post registration experience in Clinical Chemistry and have completed the Specialist Portfolio in Clinical Chemistry or equivalent
OR
· A minimum of 5 years post registration experience in Clinical Chemistry
· Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.
· Applicants must be prepared to obtain an Enhanced Access NI Police check.
