MPA are thrilled to be continuing to work alongside the NHS and we have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Day Opportunities Co-Ordinator in the Newtownabbey Area!
Where are you working?
This role will be based in Merville House in Newtownabbey
Hours of Work & Rate of Pay
Monday- Friday 9am- 5pm and will be £14.53 per hour and £0.56 per mile.
What does the job in involve?
The Day Opportunities Co Ordinator will work as a member of the team under the supervision of management staff to co-ordinate and monitor individual packages of community-based day services with statutory and community service providers.
A typical day will involve some of the following duties;
• Following the assessed needs determined. Plan, develop, implement, and coordinate individual packages of day provision and transport within the community.
• Participate in monitoring and reviewing individual programmes of care
• Establish goals on an individual basis to ensure maximum social inclusion
• Maintain an updated database of opportunities within the community to include further education, volunteering, supported employment, social enterprise and leisure
• Attend regular reviews of users and provide written reports of assessment
• Maintenance of records
Do you meet the criteria?
• 3 years paid employment experience working with adults with learning disability.
• Registered with NISSC.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a car with business insurance
• Willingness to do mandatory inhouse training.
• Must complete Enhanced Access NI check yearly.
