Bulletin details

Today, our Regional Business Development Manager, Aideen Duggan, joined Bangor Branch Manager Stacey Hamlin at the NI Chamber’s Autumn Budget event to explore the implications of yesterday’s Budget for businesses across Northern Ireland.

With no major surprises, the event provided an excellent opportunity to hear expert analysis and gain valuable insight into what the announcements mean for employers, employees and the wider economy.

The panel discussion, expertly facilitated by Stuart Anderson, Director of Public Affairs and International Trade at NI Chamber, featured:

Hannah Martin, Chief Economist at Danske Bank Angela Keery, Director of Tax Advisory Services at HNH Partners Bernie Orr, Chief Financial Officer at SHS Group

Our biggest takeaway? Understanding the true cost of employment is more important than ever.

As businesses continue to navigate rising costs and economic uncertainty, recruitment decisions need to be informed, strategic and commercially sound.

For employers considering their next hire, understanding salary expectations, employment costs and workforce planning is essential to making confident decisions about growth.

At MPA Recruitment, we believe our role goes beyond simply filling vacancies. It’s about understanding our clients’ businesses, keeping informed about the economic landscape and helping them find the right people to support their ambitions.

Today’s discussion has given us further insight to take back to our clients, helping them navigate the changing landscape and make informed recruitment decisions.

A huge thank you to NI Chamber for organising such a valuable event, to the panel for sharing their expertise, and to Pinsent Masons for hosting us in their beautiful Belfast offices and for their wonderful hospitality.
