Welcome & Service Assistant

We are recruiting Welcome & Service Assistants for one of the most visited attractions in Northern Ireland, The Giants Causeway Visitors Centre.
As the largest conservation charity in Europe the National Trust work hard to raise funds, so that we can continue to care for all the heritage in our trust. Visitors are a vital part of what they do, so you’ll be responsible for ensuring that you provide an excellent service to all visitors, every day. As a Welcome & Service Assistant, it’s your role to ensure that the welcome our visitors receive is perfect, setting them up for an amazing experience for the rest of the day.
You’ll be responsible for answering queries and making sure visitors can find everything they need for their visit. Understanding how and why the National Trust engage their supporters is key.
You’ll deliver high standards of presentation at the sites, and ensure all our communications with visitors are clear and consistent, from the first click on the website, to the posters and signs around the property.
Applicants must possess the following skills and experience:
· Have a positive and friendly attitude coupled with an enthusiastic approach to exceeding customer expectations.
· A love for the outdoors and countryside.
· Previous experience working in a customer facing role.
· Can demonstrate an empathic understanding and adaptable approach to different people’s needs, with a passion to deliver highest standards of customer care.
· Able to handle complaints and difficult visitor situations.
· Well organised able to work with minimal supervision.
· Skilled listener with great people skills, being both customer and results focused.
· Proven experience of working with measurable targets.
