Tourism & Events Placement Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity is available with the National Trust for a 3rd year BSc Leisure & Events Management or BSc International Travel & Tourism student.
The placement will be based at the Giants Causeway and Carrick-a-rede rope bridge on the north coast. This is a varied and well prepared programme allowing the student invaluable experience and insight into the National Trust and what goes on behind the scenes in order to accommodate over 1,000,000 visitors a year.
Students will have the opportunity to complete a 48 week placement programme covering all areas of the Giant’s Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede portfolio including Membership and Visitor Welcome, Visitor Experience, Commercial Operations, Programming and Events as well as Duty Operations Management. Students will have the opportunity to spend an extended part of the placement programme in a selected area of interest to them
- Students must be currently enrolled in either BSc Event and Leisure Management or BSc International Travel and Tourism
- Students must be able to attend interviews as scheduled by MPA Recruitment
- Students must be able to commence the placement programme from early June 2020
- Student must adhere to the National Trust Values and Behaviours during the placement programme
The placement will begin in June 2020 through to May 2021. This is a paid placement based on 35hrs per week.
