MPA Recruitment has been appointed by a large Healthcare Group to source a Speech and Language Therapist to join their team in Abu Dhabi. You will be joining the Middle East’s leading provider of post-acute rehabilitation and long-term care. Experience in long-term care or in the community is preferred for this role.
You will be responsible for providing safe, effective, evidence-based and comprehensive speech and language therapy service; promote a progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research, evidence based practice and the development of additional specialist clinical skills; liaise with a multidisciplinary team of experienced therapists who are focused on getting patients who are recovering from a life-changing event like stroke, brain injury, spinal injury, joint replacement or amputation back home or back to work as soon as possible.
Candidates interested in applying must be able to speak Arabic and hold a BSc in Speech-Language Pathology / Speech & Language Therapy / Speech Pathology / Speech Therapy or a BSc in Communication / Psychology / Linguistics from an accredited educational institution. The ideal candidate will hold a current national license or will have a membership in a recognized international registration board and will be trained in Basic Life support (BLS). Not less than 3 years as a Speech & Language Therapist/Pathologist in a hospital or clinical and a wide background is preferred (i.e ICU, acute medical/surgical).
A Masters in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational institution, college or university and evidence of completion of discipline-specific specialist courses e.g. Swallowing Assessment (FEES/Barium Swallows) is desirable.
