​MPA are currently recruiting on behalf of one of their leading Public Sector Clients Band 4 Social Work Assistant.


The Social Work Assistant will be primarily responsible for assisting social work managers in the provision of quality social work services to children and families.The post holder will work within the Children’s Disability Service and will undertake tasks allocated by the Social Work Team Manager to support social workers in the discharge of their duties.The Social Work Assistant will also be expected to ensure continuing professional development through training, supervision and learning in line with NISCC registration requirements.This role will involve working unsocial hours including evening and weekends.


NVQ/QCF/RQF Level 3 in a care-related subject* and 1 years’ experience working in a social care role


NVQ/QCF/RQF Level 2 in a care-related subject and 2 years’ experience working in a social care role


4 GCSEs (Grades A-C) and 3 years’ experience working in a social care setting. 

*For those who do not hold Level 3, should be willing to complete Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care Support

Be registered with the NISCC on the Social Care part of the register at the time of appointment or be eligible for immediate registration within a reasonable timescale prior to taking up post.

Hold a current full driving licence which is valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment. This criteria will be waived in the case of applicants whose disability prohibits driving but who have access to a form of transport approved by the Trust which will permit them to carry out the duties of the post.
