Senior Site Engineer

MPA Recruitment has been appointed by a leading organisation in Qatar to source a Senior Site Engineer specialising in roads and highways projects. This is a senior level position at the centre of a challenging program of major infrastructure works. You will to help to deliver and manage state of the art infrastructure and buildings that would meet the needs of the country well beyond the highly anticipated 2022 football World Cup.

You will be working primarily to provide engineering support to the Project Manager delivery of a project(s). You will draft, review and recommend any engineering related documents as required. Your role will also require you to ensure external stakeholders safely deliver the project to the project specifications and at all times act to safeguard the company’s best interest in the execution of the work.

This position requires you to ensure and review engineering compliance related to projects and liaise with various internal teams and external stakeholders to effectively manage various projects.  You will act as a facilitator with service authorities, the Police, and other agencies as necessary to expedite approvals for the work.  You will also have to work with the relevant authorities in ensuring accurate data is captured on performance across a range of QHSE measures, and that the intelligence gained is used to improve future performance.

You will have a minimum of 10 years post graduate experience with experience in major infrastructure supervision projects or programmes. The role will require a knowledge and experience of quality, health and safety, and environmental management systems related to infrastructure projects. A knowledge of international codes and specification of construction, and experience in site supervision is also essential.
