MPA Recruitment has been appointed by a leading organisation in Qatar to source a Senior Project Manager to join their Drainage and Wastewater Department. This is a senior level position at the center of a challenging program of major infrastructure works. You will to help to deliver and manage state of the art infrastructure and buildings that would meet the needs of the country well beyond the highly anticipated 2022 football World Cup. The Expressway Program involves the design and construction of major road and infrastructure projects for the strategic road network of Qatar.
This is a management level position at the center of a challenging program of major infrastructure works. The person in the role will be required to lead and coordinate highway projects in Qatar pertaining to the delivery of the multi-billion Qatari Riyal Expressway Program for Qatar. The position is responsible to manage all aspects of the project planning, including scheduling, budgeting, reporting, HSE, and the quality.
Your role will involve coordinating with the consultant and contractor on material approval matters. You will liaise with other authorities and statutory bodies, and coordinate with all relevant parties and representatives such as owners and legal authorities to minimize any disruption and ensure the completion of the projects in time and within cost. You will advise on contractual and construction matter; and liaise with consultants to approve contractors’ submittals. You will support the consultants on quality-related matters and resolve issues arising out of the project under construction. You will participate in a team carrying out tender evaluation of construction and post-contract supervising consulting contracts to submit reports to the tender committees. You will have overarching responsibility for project delivery across all disciplines (including technical, commercial, project controls, programme, planning, HSE, quality risk, systems compliance etc.)
You will have a minimum of 20 years post-graduate experience, out of which 12 years in a managerial or technical lead capacity in similar works, managing all aspects of construction management, supervision and project administration of large-scale sewerage, surface & ground water networks projects. It is an essential requirement to have previous experience in managing large scale deep sewer tunnels with ID above 3.0 meters and executed by TBMs and/or MTBMs. Also essential is to have experience dealing with micro tunneling sewerage networks under Design & Build projects undertaken within the city.
