MPA Recruitment has been appointed by a leading organisation in Qatar to source a Senior Civil Engineer specialising in the Sewerage Networks Projects Section. This is a senior level position at the centre of a challenging program of major infrastructure works. You will to help to deliver and manage state of the art infrastructure and buildings that would meet the needs of the country well beyond the highly anticipated 2022 football World Cup.
Your job role will require you to conducts peer reviews, make technical presentations, and perform constructability reviews of designs. You will direct and manage the complex organizational interactions that evolve from the participation of several business entities on a projects or from client relationships. You will be expected to supervise in order to establish and maintain access to technical experts and colleagues in the construction industry and related industries. You will also set up channels of communication to bring these expertise to bear effectively on the engineering effort.
You will oversee the resolving of issues concerning conflicting design requirements, specifications and/or difficult coordination requirements. You will also be required to prepare cost analyses of the structural portions of projects. You will conduct value engineering evaluations, determining alternative designs, materials and building techniques, interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating assignments and managing projects that are large in scope and complex.
You will have a minimum of 20 years of overall experience in engineering, while mainly being experienced in drainage network and pumping stations, construction and refurbishment. You will have an understanding and appreciation of various and latest technological trends in construction, and possess an awareness of project risk assessment and value engineering. As the company aims to provide a high standard of living for all the people of Qatar, your role requires knowledge and experience of health and safety, environmental, and quality issues affecting highway design. An appreciation of sustainable construction practices is also required.
