Senior Bid Manager, Derry

MPA Recruitment has been appointed by a leading Engineering firm to source a Senior Bid Manager to join their team. This is a significant organisation in the North West that is continuing to grow despite the market challenges brought about by Covid; this is a new role within the team representing this ongoing investment in the business.

In the role, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive and compliant bid submissions for the group in line with the overall business strategy; for leading key customer engagement and relationship building; and for translating customer requirements into clear, tailored value propositions for products and services.

You will review and evaluate requests for estimates and determine the appropriate projects to price while engaging with the varying support functions of the bid process from estimation, design and legal. You will convey customer requirements to the internal development team, track all requests and responses using company databases and software and gather market intelligence from conferences, industry events, and customer visits.

You will have 10 + years’ experience (5 of which should be in a Senior Capacity) in an Estimation, Commercial or Construction Management background. You will have significant experience in securing / managing large commercial contracts and have demonstratable capability to deliver results. You should have an outgoing and engaging personality; be enthusiastic and well-organised in your approach to work; and be able to work autonomously.

You will receive a competitive salary as well as a full benefits package including a profit-share bonus scheme. There will be occasional travel to client sites where you will be further reimbursed with overtime and site rates.
