MPA Recruitment has been appointed by a leading organisation in Qatar to source a Quality & Sustainability Advisor to join their Technical Office Department. This is a senior level position at the centre of a challenging programme of major infrastructure works. You will to help to deliver and manage state of the art infrastructure and buildings that would meet the needs of the country well beyond the highly anticipated 2022 football World Cup.
Your role will involve effectively contributing in developing and building up the needful quality assurance plans and policies to ensure that any services delivered by the portfolio, programme or project are fit for purpose and are capable of delivering the benefits required by the State, as mandated to PWA through relevant and applicable laws and regulations.
You will ensure compliance with any applicable organisational, national and international standards and legislation. You will bring together portfolio, programme or project staff of different disciplines and drive the group to plan, formulate and agree comprehensive quality management strategy and quality management plan. This includes reviewing and improving and existing quality management plans. You will also establish consistent quality practices and standards, adhering to governance arrangement; monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports. You must ensure tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated, and product/service modifications are investigated if necessary.
You will work with Internal Audit Department to ensure the portfolio, programme or project complies with audit requirements. You will coordinate quality reviews of portfolio, programme or project documents and deliverables and issue needful quality audit and performance reports to PWA Senior Leadership Group. You will provide guidance on quality criteria, reviewers and sign-off authority to ensure cross-portfolio or cross-programme consistency. You will also coordinate with commercial and procurement staff to ensure an effective interface with vendors/suppliers' quality systems and oversee the quality review process for contractual supplier deliverables. Likewise you will coordinate portfolio gated reviews and stage reviews, and ensure all information is available in a timely manner and a quality format. You will also establish and provide standard quality health checks.
You will have a minimum of 20 years working experience out of which a minimum of 10 years in corporate stakeholder management. You must also have a university degree in engineering, PM/CM or Business Administration, an MBA or master’s degree in a relevant subject, and be a chartered member of a relevant professional institution. You must also be skillful in relevant software applications.
