MPA has been appointed by their private client to source a full-time, permanent Procurement Officer in the Belfast area.

Roles/Responsibilities: 

  • Co-ordinate, manage and report on the procurement activity for the company and assist in delivering optimum value for money
  • Provide procurement and administrative support to the procurement manager
  • Provide a strategic, efficient, compliant and flexible procurement service which will deliver optimum value for money
  • Establish, co-ordinate, manage and operate procurement activity in accordance with association policies, procedures and budgets
  • Work closely with procurement colleagues and key stakeholders advising and supporting staff in their procurement and supplier relationships
  • Liaise with the managers on budget management, value for money and procurement compliance
  • Drive better procurement practice and feedback departmental sourcing requirements to the procurement manager to help identify where aggregated spend might offer better value for money
  • To prepare, issue and evaluate tenders/quotations and support the procurement manager in all procurement activities
  • To assist in the preparation of specifications and contract documents across the company ensuring early buyer involvement in all activities
  • To report, monitor and feedback the performance of procurement activity to ensure targets are achieve

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum 1 years' experience in a similar role
  • 5 GSCEs (to include Maths & English) at Grades A-C
