Basic Purpose of the role:

  • Coordinates the activities of the Home Health Care Team in designated area.
  • Coordination of nursing care and management of frontline nursing team
  • Provide clinical expertise to frontline staff.
  • Responsible for the development of staff within the team and ensuring they meet their competencies, assisting in performance development plans where required and ensure all appraisals are carried out in a timely manner
  • Responsible for providing and ensuring safe, effective, evidence based high quality care within the home care setting.
  • Responsible for timely report writing for insurance submission and approval
  • Responsible for building a network of referral sources to ensure acquisition of patients. 
  • Case management of referrals to ensure patient suitability for service provision. 
  • Coordination of patient care from referral to discharge.
  • Is able to communicate effectively at all levels within the interdisciplinary team.
  • Promotes a progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research, evidence-based practice and the developmental of additional clinical skills in the specialty.
  • Assists in the safe, effective and efficient management of the Home Health Care services with allocated resources.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. With valid BLS and ACLS license.
  • Post graduate qualification in community nursing

License:

Eligible for DOH License or transferable UAE license as RN.

Required Experience:

  • At least 3 years postgraduate experience in a dynamic fast paced nursing environment, where skills are adaptable to the home and community care environment.
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a Senior Nurse, Nurse in Charge, Nurse coordinator or team lead role

Skills/Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the insurance system within the UAE, preferred 
  • Excellent in communication skills and competent with computers (MS Office)

  • Ability to work within a team and independently
