Assist in ensuring the well-being of children by providing a comfortable, safe and healthy environment and in the promotion of the service to visitors, friends and in the community.
Work with wider team members to ensure the delivery of care as per support plan.
Provide supervision and maintain the privacy and dignity of children at all times.
Create detailed shift reports using database programmes.
Escalate issues to senior staff member in charge and document incidents in accordance with local policy.
NISCC registered or suitability to apply
Willing to undertake an enhanced disclosure
Minimum 6 months experience in a formal care setting is essential
Attention to detail and proficient in report writing/handovers
Flexible with good communication
Understanding of and experience in challenging behaviours
Training in/experience of working in a learning disabilities.
