Health and Safety Officer – Cork
MPA Recruitment are hiring on behalf of their large industrial services client to hire a Health and Safety officer for a long-term project in Cork.
As part of the position you will be expected to maintain high standards of health and safety on site while carrying out regular safety audits, risk assessments, documenting the findings to senior management and implementing necessary corrective actions.
You will be expected to assist traffic management plans and site traffic management works. You will be carrying out accident investigations and ensure remedial actions are put in place. As Health and Safety officer you will be collating and maintaining data, records and other health and safety related information.
You will be expected to inform and advise management of health and safety laws, regulations and directives which affect the company and its employees. You will need to deliver and complete statutory notifications to the Health and Safety Authority for all incident and accident reporting.
It is essential that:
- You have a diploma or a NEBOSH certificate in Health and Safety with 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- You are familiar with regulatory compliance procedures, publications and able to interpret relevant legislation.
- You have excellent communications skills, including written, oral and presentation skills.
- You are proficient in application of Microsoft Office
