MPA Belfast are recruiting a Finance Officer, for our public sector client, based at Knockbracken Healthcare Park, South Belfast.
Communicative English, both written and verbal
Candidates must have five GCSEs Grade A-C (or equivalent) to include Maths/Accounts and English and one year’s experience in a finance or administrative environment within the last five years.
Knowledge of computer applications particularly Word Processing and Spreadsheets packages.
General good health to meet the demands of the post.
Successful applicants must be prepared to undergo an Access NI check
The Job Role
Preparation, processing and recording of payments in respect of suppliers, personal social services and staff expenses including verification within a computerized environment.
Preparation, processing and recording of invoices via the Debtors Ledger.
Prepare financial assessments for clients placed in statutory homes and maintain associated records.
Preparation, processing and recording of payments and receipts in respect of Charitable Trust Funds and Patients Private Property.
Assist the Commissioning and Costing staff in the preparation and delivery of financial information, for internal and external purposes.
Delegate appropriate responsibility and authority to the level of staff within his/her control consistent with effective decision making, whilst retaining overall responsibility and accountability for results.
Assist in the training of staff reporting to him/her.
Demonstrate their commitment by their regular attendance and the efficient completion of all tasks allocated to them.

Working pattern can be flexible within the office hours, 8.30am/9am start.
To complete 37.5 hours per week.
Rates of pay: £8.49 p/h
Holiday pay accrued from first day of employment
Temporary basis for 3 months initially, however could be extended
