Driver/Support Worker

MPA are currently recruiting for a driver/support worker to work with our client based in the Coleraine Area. This position will have an immediate start and working hours will be Monday -Friday 8.30am-4.30pm with a pay rate of £11.67 per hour.

Job Duties

  • Providing a high standard of personal care and support to service users

  • Providing assistance at meal times

  • Promoting independence where possible

  • Providing support with mobility

  • General housekeeping duties

  • Communicating with residents and making them feel comfortable

  • Collect and convey service users to Trust Adult/Day Care facilities.

  • Carry out daily routine maintenance of their vehicle and minor repairs

  • (including checking fuel oil, water levels and topping up as required, tyre pressures, vehicle cleaning, changing punctured wheels etc.)

  • Convey centre clients to outings inc community facilities, cinema, leisure and social trips etc.

  • Must maintain Driver CPC qualification

  • Any other duties relevant to the post.

 

Essential Criteria

  • 6 months’ experience in a similar role

  • NISCC Registered or willingness to apply

  • Willingness to complete training courses

  • Willingness to complete Access NI checks

  • Current full driving licence valid for use in the UK with full Category D unrestricted driving entitlement.Full unrestricted Category D driving entitlement means entitlement to drive a manually operated passenger-carrying vehicle with more than 16 seats)

  • Must hold the Driver CPC qualification card
