MPA Recruitment is currently hiring a Communications Engineer on behalf a leading communications technology firm to be based in their L/Derry office. You will be responsible for the provision of day-to-day support of the company as required by the Lead Engineer.

You will be responsible for the installation and support of the equipment at customer’s premises to ensure effective service within agreed time scales and to the standards required by the company.  You will ensure the appropriate level of liaison between accredited partners, sales and customers is delivered to maintain an efficient and effective service.  You will provide consultancy and appropriate advice and support to customers as required ;establish and maintain effective communication between the company and third party network service providers as required. You will plan and co-ordinate effective training ensuring the customer has a sound understanding of the product and the benefits it can offer. You will also plan and organize travel and accommodation requirements to customer sites in accordance with the procedures required by the company.

You will have at least 2 years’ experience within an engineering/IT role (field based) including experience with JNCIA and/or Cisco CCNA. Experience in Microsoft certification or VMware and Linux is beneficial but not essential. You will demonstrate ability to successfully receive technical training, subsequently deploying the imparted knowledge to the best advantage. You will have excellent interpersonal skills: including verbal/written communication and presentation skills applicable in both and internal and customer facing environment.

This post is based in the North West of Northern Ireland but the successful candidate will be required to travel and work throughout Ireland and the UK, If necessary may be required to travel outside the UK.
