MPA are excited to announce that we’re continuing our successful partnership as a Tier One Healthcare Framework supplier, and we are currently recruiting for Band 4 & Band 5 Children’s Residential Support Workers in Belfast, Lisburn, and Downpatrick areas.
Where You’ll Be Working:
You’ll be working in children’s homes across the Belfast, Lisburn, and Downpatrick areas, supporting young people in a safe, nurturing environment.
Salary & Hours:
- Band 4 Support Worker: £12.86 per hour – £20.58 per hour (dependent on shift worked)
- Band 5 Support Worker: £14.53 per hour – £23.24 per hour (dependent on shift worked)
Shift Pattern:
Both day and night shifts are required, offering flexibility to fit your schedule.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you’ll play a key role in supporting and supervising children and young people in residential care, ensuring their well-being and development.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the care and supervision of children and young people.
- Collaborating with keyworkers to develop and implement care plans.
- Working one-on-one and in groups with children, families, and carers, using a range of interventions to meet individual needs and support positive outcomes.
- Coordinating with children’s services, health agencies, and other community-based services to provide the best possible care.
- Following safeguarding and child protection procedures to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Do You Meet the Criteria?
We’re looking for motivated, compassionate individuals who meet the following criteria:

Band 5 Essential Criteria:
- A higher-level education qualification AND 1 year of experience in a children’s residential setting, OR
- 2 years’ experience in a children’s residential setting.

Band 4 Essential Criteria:
- 1 year of experience in a children’s residential setting.

Registered with NISCC.

A willingness to complete mandatory in-house training.

Ability to pass the Enhanced Access NI check yearly.
