MPA Recruitment has been appointed by a highly successful business group in Doha to source a Chief Accountant to join their team. This is a new position in the business which will work specifically within the Facilities Management business within the group.

You will report to the Finance Manager and will handle the full spectrum of financial and cost accounting functions including AR, AP, GL, forecasting, budgeting, etc. You will be responsible for preparing the full set of accounts and ensuring timely closing; will perform project cost forecasts / budgets, cost tracking, monitoring and controls; and will be responsible for timely monthly consolidated financial statements, payments and cash-flow management reporting for submission to HQ.

You will develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting systems and policies. You will support the CFO in ensuring intercompany cost allocations are in line with management agreements and transfer pricing policy. You will maintain systems for cost-sensitivity analysis; work on cost reduction initiatives; review corporate and personal income tax returns to ensure accuracy; and advise business owners and individuals on tax matters.

You will be degree qualified in a relevant finance or accounting discipline and will hold a Chartered Accountant status / Financial or Accounting Auditor certificate. You will have 5 years supervisory experience within a financial operations team and will have knowledge in an ERP system. Previous GCC experience will be a plus.
